About Me
I’m David Bertoldi, a Berkshires and New York City based performer. I grew up in Pittsfield, MA, surrounded by the abundant art and culture in the Berkshires. When my parents recognized my affinity and talent for singing and acting, they signed me up for various local summer camps and programs, and I fell in love with being on stage.
I hold an MFA in Acting from Brown/ Trinity Rep in Providence, RI, and a BA in Cultural Studies & Communication from Clark University in Worcester, MA. Additional training includes Shakespeare & Company’s Month-Long Intensive and Education programs, and the Chautauqua Theatre Company Acting Conservatory. I’ve taken a few detours along the way, like working maintenance at a cemetery and teaching high school English during the pandemic.
The art I’m most passionate about investigates class and masculinity. I’m a patient listener who is comfortable portraying the ugly entities of society when necessary and providing quiet, confident stability in a rehearsal room. I love teaching, the Red Sox, and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. I’m still thinking about law school.
